What is the National Cavy Show?
The National are the pinnacle of competition for pedigree cavies. Exhibitors compete under expert judges, with cavies assessed against the New Zealand Standard of Perfection. Classes cover all recognised breeds, coat types, and colour varieties, ensuring that the highest standards of health, type, and presentation are recognised and rewarded.

The National Show is open to:
• NZ Cavy Council members through their affiliated clubs.
• Cavies entered in accordance with the NZ Standard of Perfection.
• Junior Exhibitors, who are encouraged to participate and develop their skills in a supportive environment.
